Ladies and Gents, please join us to celebrate the fantastical years that our band had the pleasure to play for all of you fine people. Yes, this will be the last time that we will be playing together due to creative and personal differences. The show will be truly bittersweet for us, but we really want this to be a celebration and night to reminisce about all the fun we had. We’ll be playing all the goodies and jamming super tough.

To help make this an evening of great tunes we have enlisted the likes of PAPA and RUMSPRINGA to play with us. Set times TBA.

Check out the premiere of Chief’s second single ‘The Minute I Saw It’ off their debut album Modern Rituals , as featured today on  Spinner and NME.  Directed by Austin Peters, the video plays on the ethereal California surroundings to set off the overall tone.  Moonves described it best when he told Spinner, “It’s all about the way that the images fit together in your memory of the video after you watch it. What remains with you is simply natural beauty cut with some mean rock ‘n’ roll. That’s the jam”

So we have returned from our recent tour with our new buddies Portugal the Man and Mt. St. Helen’s Vietnam Band with big smiles on our faces. The road holds many things, and we definitely had our fair share of adventure there. Which is leading to my next point of business: WE WANT MORE. We head back on the road for a couple weeks in december on the EAST COAST, which we’re very fired up about. We’ll be hittin up Philly, DC, Boston, Montreal and last, but certainly not least, our first headlining gig at NYC’s BOWERY BALLROOM! We’re talkin about a seriously dope time here, and if you live in any of those places, you will not want to miss this. It’s also our first time playing in Canada! Eh! But before we leave our homesteads in sunny California, we also are shooting our new music video for “The Minute I Saw It” which is our new single (if there was any confusion there). We’re working with our director/homeboy Austin Peters, who’s done videos for our friends Dawes and Samuel, and it’s looking dope! Unsure of when the vid will be released, but I will be very sure to let you know when it does. I think that’s all for now? Welcome to CHIEFTHEBAND.COM! Your new home for all things Chief. Let’s begin by letting you all know that our debut album, “MODERN RITUALS”, came out stateside on August 17th. If you haven’t checked it out yet, please do. In concurrence with that piece of news, we will be touring to promote our record on and off for the rest of the year!
